Stephanie Smith scored 22 points and W&J overcame a

Bethany Defense 'Steals' Victory
The Bethany College women’s
basketball team solidified its hold on second place in the
Presidents Athletic Conference Saturday by “stealing” a victory from
a red-hot Westminster squad. Coach Becky Upton’s Bison forced the
Titans into a staggering 26 turnovers — including 20 steals — and
placed six players in double-figures en route to an impressive 83-66
victory.

Grove City Wednesday. Junior Jayme Thiem scored 15 points and senior
Tandrea Sellers had 13 for Thomas More, which is tied for fifth
place with Illinois Wesleyan in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 poll and

Former Blue Devils Notch Career Days
BETHANY, W.Va. - A pair of former Zanesville basketball standouts
posted career days last Saturday for Bethany College. Freshman Tara
Harris recorded her first college double-double with 15 points and
15 rebounds as the Bison women earned a 80-75 win over Thiel
College. Harris scored five of those during a key 16-6 run that
closed out the first half to give Bethany a 38-25 halftime lead. In
six games this season, Harris is averaging 6.5 points and 5.3
rebounds per contest.

Geneva Women Can't Shake Off Rust
GREENSBURG --- It had
been nearly three full weeks since Geneva women’s coach Ron
Galbreath saw his team in action. With its last game coming on Dec.
15, the Golden Tornadoes couldn’t shake off the holiday rust and
came up on the short end of a 65-58 against Pitt-Greensburg. The
loss ended Geneva’s undefeated season and nine-game winning streak
and dropped the Golden Tornadoes to 9-1 on the season.

game of the 18th annual Days Inn Tournament at Hen Bream Gymnasium.

However, Gettysburg eventually rallied to take a 33-32 halftime
lead.
